The interior of a new office has turned green in the bustling factory district of Naujamiestis in Vilnius. The work spaces are arranged by “steps” according to the need for peace and quiet in this impressive seven-meter-high loft. There’s a kitchenette, a shower room, and a wardrobe hidden in the back.
Usually, many wires and pipes are hiding inside the walls, making it necessary to cover the old walls with the new ones when renovating old premises. Here we chose to deactivate them in a moderate yet creative fashion: hiding the heavy structures by plywood boards and letting the wires climb up and down the bare walls inside the metal straws. The ashen floor pays tribute to the rough context of the previous factory while the warm pine patterns bring back the balance.
Our clients are no strangers to art and design, so the interior is finished with a designer lamp and an original artwork both created for this site.
